Prepare the World Cup Tartar Sauce

  • Hellmann’s® Real Mayonnaise 4.0 cups
  • non-pareil capers, coarsely chopped 0.75 cup
  • cornichons/gherkins, finely chopped 0.75 cup
  • Fresh chives, snipped 0.75 cup
  • cornichon brine (from the jar) 3.0 Tbsp

This aioli is creamy and sharply tangy. It's packed with briny capers and crunchy pickles for a bright finish that cuts through rich, fried, or grilled bites.

Preparation

  1. Prepare the World Cup Tartar Sauce

    1.  Add the mayonnaise to a large bowl.
    2. Stir in chopped capers, chopped cornichons, chives, and cornichon brine until evenly combined.
    3. Taste and adjust with a little more brine or capers if you want it tangier.
    4. Serve right away or cover and refrigerate until needed (keeps 3–5 days cold).
