AI Chat and AI Services Terms
Please read these terms of use (“Terms”) carefully before engaging with the UFS AI Chat, AI Generated Content and AI Services. These Terms are intended to inform users of the limitations and usage guidelines of the UFS AI Chat, AI Generated Content and AI Services (“AI Services”) provided by Unilever United States, Inc (“us”, “we”). The user (“you”, “your”) is defined as the person using the AI Services. These Terms apply in addition to the UFS general website terms and conditions https://www.unileverus.com/terms/termsofuse.html and in the event of a conflict, these terms shall apply to the extent of such conflict.
By accessing & interacting with the AI Services, you are agreeing to enter into these Terms with us regarding your use of the AI Services and the information you share with it. If you do not agree with these Terms, please refrain from using the AI Services.
General Information
The AI Services are powered by enterprise‑grade AI models, fine‑tuned on Unilever information. It is designed to give you personalized advice and recommendations related to our products and services. The information provided by the AI Services is for general guidance purposes only and is not intended to be comprehensive, nor to constitute legal, financial, or professional advice.
Registration
You must provide accurate and complete information to register for an account to use the AI Services. You may not share your account credentials or make your account available to anyone and are responsible for any activities that occur under your account.
Age Requirements
The use of the AI Services is intended for persons over 18 years of age. If you are under 18 years of age (or the age of legal majority where you live), you may use the AI Services only under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to be bound by these Terms and agrees to be fully responsible for the acts or omissions of the minor in relation to the use of the AI Services.
Content
You may provide input to any of the AI Services (“Input”) and receive output from the AI Services based on the Input (“Output”). Input and Output are collectively “Content”. You are responsible for Content, including ensuring that it does not violate any applicable law or these Terms. You represent and warrant that you have all rights, licences, and permissions needed to provide Input to the AI Services.
As between you and UFS, and to the extent permitted by applicable law, you (a) retain your ownership rights in Input and (b) own the Output (excluding any other users’ output). You acknowledge that Output does not grant you any rights over the underlying AI models, training data, or proprietary datasets used to generate the Output. We can use your Content worldwide to provide, maintain, develop, and improve our services, comply with applicable law, enforce our terms and policies and maintain the safety of our services.
Usage Rights
You agree to use the AI Services for its intended purposes, namely to receive personalized advice and recommendations including recommendations regarding our products and services and not to use the AI Services for any illegal, harmful, or abusive activity, such as: (1) to send or share abusive, defamatory, offensive, intimidating, illegal, racist, discriminatory, obscene, harmful or inappropriate content in any form; (2) to conduct illegal or immoral activities; (3) to try to compromise the security of the AI Services or our website, access our confidential information or otherwise interfere with our services; (4) to copy, distribute, modify, reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to extract the source code of the AI Services or any part of it; (5) use in a way that infringes, misappropriates or violates anyone’s rights; (6) to automatically or programmatically extracting data or output from the AI Services based on your Inputs; or (7) representing that Output was human-generated when it was not.
Accuracy
The field of Generative Artificial Intelligence is rapidly evolving. Given the probabilistic nature of the technology used, use of our AI Services may in some situations result in Output that does not accurately reflect real people, places, or facts. When you use our AI Services you understand and agree: (1) Output may not always be accurate and so you should not rely on Output from the AI Services as a sole source of truth or factually accurate, or as a substitute for professional advice; (2) you must evaluate Output for accuracy and appropriateness for your use case, including using human review as appropriate, before using or sharing Output from the AI Services; (3) you must not use any Output relating to a person for any purpose that could have a legal or material impact on that person, such as making credit, educational, employment, housing, insurance, legal, medical, or other important decisions about them; and (4) Our AI Services may provide incomplete, incorrect, or offensive Output that does not represent UFS’s views. If Output references any third party products or services, it doesn’t mean the third party endorses or is affiliated with UFS.
Third Parties
The AI Services may rely on third‑party technology providers that supply underlying AI model capabilities, which we integrate into our systems. These providers may change over time, and we do not disclose or guarantee the specific providers used at any given moment.
By using the AI Services, you also agree to comply with any applicable acceptable use rules or policies required by the third‑party AI technology providers that power these Services.
The AI Services may also provide links to other websites operated by third parties. Those links are provided for your convenience only, and we are not responsible for their use, effect, or content.
Availability
This AI Services are provided on an “as is” “where is” basis. We expressly reserve the right to modify, add or delete individual or all AI Services functionalities without notice, or to discontinue the AI Services temporarily or permanently and we provide no guarantee for the uninterrupted accessibility of the AI Services.
Data Privacy
When interacting with the AI Services, please do not share your personal data. In the event that personal data is shared by you, by using our AI Services, you acknowledge you have read our Privacy Policy [Privacy Notice | Unilever Legal] and you agree we may collect, store and share your personal data with third party service providers for the purposes of providing the AI Services. By using the AI Services, you also consent to the monitoring and storage of interactions for safety, security, and service improvement.

Liability
While we strive to provide accurate information through the AI Services, we cannot guarantee the accuracy and/or the completeness of the information provided. The AI Services may, at times, provide information that is inaccurate, so we encourage you to verify any information provided by the AI Services before taking any action or making any decisions based on the information received. We make no representations, warranties, or guarantees in relation to the availability, suitability continuity, reliability, accuracy, currency or security of this AI Services or the information it provides. We, our officers, directors, employees, affiliated companies, and representatives do not accept any liability regarding the information provided and cannot be held liable for any actions, losses, or damages (whether direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or otherwise) resulting from your use of the AI Services.
Governing Law & Jurisdiction
All disputes relating to these terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York regardless of conflict of law rules. You and UFS consent to the jurisdiction of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, or if such court does not have jurisdiction, in the courts of the State of New York located in New York County.
