    • Heat a large sauté pan over medium-low heat and melt the butter. Add the sliced onions, salt, sugar, black pepper, and garlic powder. Cook uncovered for 45-60 minutes, stirring often, until the onions are well caramelized and browned.
    • In a large baking dish, combine the caramelized onions, Hellmann's Real Mayonnaise, sour cream, Gruyère cheese, crumbled bacon, and minced parsley.
    • Preheat the oven to 400°F and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
    • While the dip is baking, toast the baguette slices and serve on the side for dipping.
    • TIP: Stir the onions frequently while caramelizing to prevent burning.
