Prepare the Guinness-infused Gravy

Assemble the Reuben Sandwiches



  1. Prepare the Guinness-infused Gravy

    • In a saucepan, combine the Guinness beer and Knorr Low Sodium Brown Gravy.
    • Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a simmer.
    • Simmer for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the gravy thickens slightly.
    • Once thickened, remove from heat and set aside.
  2. Assemble the Reuben Sandwiches

    • Preheat a griddle or a large skillet over medium heat
    • Butter one side of each slice of pumpernickel bread.
    • On the non-buttered side of half of the slices, layer slices of Swiss cheese, followed by a generous amount of corned beef and sauerkraut.
    • Spread Thousand Island dressing on the non-buttered side of the remaining slices of bread, then place them on top of the corned beef and sauerkraut, buttered side facing up.
  3. Grill the Sandwiches

    • Place the assembled sandwiches on the preheated griddle or skillet.
    • Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  4. Serve and Enjoy!

    • Once the sandwiches are cooked, cut them in half diagonally.
