Preparation

  1. Prepare the beef patties

    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef and both packets of Knorr® Professional French Onion Soup Mix.
    • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
    • Divide the mixture into 10 equal parts and shape them into burger patties. Ensure they are slightly larger than the burger buns.
  2. Cook the Onions

    • In a skillet, heat some butter or oil over medium heat.
    • Add the thinly sliced onions and cook until they are soft and caramelized, about 10-15 minutes. Set aside.
  3. Cook the Burgers

    • In the same skillet or on a grill, cook the burger patties to your desired level of doneness, typically about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare.
    • When the burgers are almost done, place a slice of Swiss cheese on top of each patty and allow it to melt.
  4. Prepare the Gravy

    • While the burgers are cooking, prepare the Knorr® Professional Beef Gravy according to the instructions on the packet.
  5. Assemble the Burgers

    • Toast the burger buns lightly if desired.
    • Place a cooked patty with melted cheese on the bottom half of each bun.
    • Top each patty with a generous amount of caramelized onions.
    • Spoon some Knorr® Professional Beef Gravy over the onions.
    • Place the top half of the bun over the gravy.
    • Serve immediately and enjoy your French Onion Burgers for a crowd! You can adjust the quantities of ingredients as needed, and don't forget to taste and season accordingly.
