Prepare the burgers

  • Mushrooms, cremini, baby bella 8.0 oz
  • Garlic, chopped 2.0 tsp
  • Rolled Oats 1.5 cup
  • Smoked paprika 1.0 Tbsp
  • Cumin 2.0 tsp
  • Black Pepper 1.0 Tbsp
  • Soy sauce 2.0 Tbsp
  • Black beans, canned, drained, rinsed 4.0 cups
  • Parsley 0.5 cup

Cook the burgers

This hearty black bean burger is a delicious and satisfying vegetarian option, featuring a flavorful patty made with black beans, oats, and a blend of savory spices. Serve on a toasted bun with fresh avocado, sprouts, and red onion for a filling and healthy meal.



  1. Prepare the burgers

    30 minutes
    • Add the mushrooms, garlic, oats, spices and soy sauce in a food processor with a sprinkle of salt and pepper. Pulse lightly for 15-20 seconded until combined
    • Move mixture to a separate bowl and combine with black beans and parsley. Let rest for 5 minutes.
    • Shape into 10 patties. Let rest for 5 minutes.
    TIP: When mixing ingredients in the food processor, you can thicken the mixture by adding more oats or thin it by adding a small amount of water.
  2. Cook the burgers

    10 minutes
    • Put the oil in a large skillet over medium-low heat. Cook until crisp on both sides, about 5 minutes each.
    • Spread a generous layer of Hellman's Vegan Mayonnaise onto the bun, add the black bean burger, and top with avocado and red onion.
    TIP: Up the flavor by cooking the red onions in the same skillet as the black bean patties.
