This Bacon, Blue Cheese & Walnut Green Bean Casserole combines blanched green beans with a creamy sauce made from LeGout Cream Soup Base, Dijon mustard, and crumbled blue cheese. Preparation

  1. Step 1

    1. Cook the Green Beans
    •  Blanch the Green Beans
    • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
    • Add the green beans and cook for 3-4 minutes until bright green but still crisp.
    • Drain and immediately transfer to an ice bath to stop cooking. Drain again and set aside.
    2. Cook the Bacon & Aromatics
    • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook chopped bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside on a paper towel.
    • In the same pan, using the bacon fat, sauté onions and mushrooms for 5 minutes until soft.
    • Add garlic and cook for another 1 minute.
    3. Prepare the Sauce
    • Pour in prepared LeGout Cream Soup Base and whisk until smooth.
    • Stir in Dijon mustard, black pepper, smoked paprika, and salt.
    •  Remove from heat and mix in ½ cup blue cheese until melted and incorporated.
    4. Assemble & Bake
