Prepare Spicy Cheddar Sauce

  • Cheese, sharp cheddar, shredded 2.0 cups
  • Whole milk 1.0 cup
  • Butter, unsalted 2.0 Tbsp
  • Paprika 1.0 tsp
  • Cayenne pepper 0.5 tsp
  • Salt & Pepper, To Taste

Assemble Poutine

  • kimchi, prepared 1.0 cups
  • chicken breast 1.0 lb

Prepare Chicken Gravy

Finish with Gravy and Garnish

  • Scallions, sliced 1.0 bunch



  1. Prepare Tater Tots

    • Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the tater tots packaging. 
    • Arrange the frozen tater tots on a baking sheet and bake according to package instructions until they are golden and crispy.
  2. Prepare Spicy Cheddar Sauce

    • In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
    •  Whisk in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes until it forms a paste (roux). 
    • Gradually whisk in the milk until smooth. Add paprika and cayenne pepper. 
    • Bring to a simmer and cook until thickened, about 2-3 minutes. 
    • Remove from heat and stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Assemble Poutine

    • Arrange cooked tater tots on serving plates. 
    • Spoon chopped kimchi over the tater tots. 
    • Scatter cooked spicy popcorn chicken on top of the kimchi.
  4. Pour Spicy Cheddar Sauce

    • Drizzle the hot spicy cheddar sauce over the kimchi and popcorn chicken.
  5. Prepare Chicken Gravy

  6. Finish with Gravy and Garnish

    • Pour Knorr Instant Chicken Gravy over the assembled poutine.
    • Garnish with thinly sliced scallions.
