Prepare Filet Mignon

  • Filet Mignon 10 each
  • Salt, kosher
  • Black pepper, ground
  • Vegetable oil

Prepare the Sauce

  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Caramelized shallots 2.5 cup
  • Garlic clove, minced 3 each
  • Rosemary, fresh, minced 2 T
  • Black pepper, ground
  • Knorr Demi Glace, prepared 1 pt
  1. Prepare Filet Mignon

    • Prepare steaks to desired doneness.

  2. Prepare the Sauce

    • While the steaks rest, add extra virgin olive oil to the same saucepan over medium heat.
    • Add shallots, garlic, and rosemary and cook until the shallots are heated through and the garlic has softened, about 3 minutes.
    • Add prepared Knorr Demi-Glace Sauce Mix (sub recipe below) and cook until heated through.
    • Season to taste with pepper.
  3. To Serve

    • This filet mignon pairs well with roasted potatoes and asparagus.
