Inspired Restaurant Makeover Contest

March 23, 2011, Lisle IL --- Unilever Food Solutions is announcing our first-ever InspiredRestaurant.com Makeover Contest and awarding $100,000 worth of cash, expert consultation and Unilever product (from Hellmann’s®, Knorr® and Lipton®). The inaugural contest will help one restaurant operator take their business to the next level by helping them better meet the needs of their guests, ensuring a healthy and profitable menu and keeping their kitchens running efficiently.

The contest prize package is valued up to $100,000 and includes:

$5,000 in cash to invest in front-of-house/back-of-house improvements to the winner’s restaurant
An amazing Experience Weekend with The Culinary Institute of America (CIA) for up to four members of the winner’s restaurant team to attend the world-famous CIA at Greystone in Napa Valley, California and work with the Unilever Food Solutions Culinary Team and CIA instructors to improve the winner’s menu
More than 100 hours of one-on-one consultation services from Unilever Food Solutions, including access to our Culinary Olympic Gold Medal-winning Certified Master Chef and Registered Dietitian
One-year supply of free Unilever Food Solutions professional ingredients from brands like Hellmann’s®, Knorr® and Lipton® which will be awarded as reimbursement up to $55,000

Call for entries runs through May 31, 2011. The contest winner will be announced in July 2011. To enter, foodservice operators must submit a brief application explaining their needs across Unilever Food Solutions’ service offerings and how they would use the prize package if selected. The contest is open to Small Independent Operators/Full-Service Restaurants in the U.S. with annual revenue of $2 million or less per location and three or fewer locations. All contest entries must be submitted via http://www.inspiredrestaurant.com/ and will be judged by a panel of Unilever Food Solutions employees and representatives. All entries will be judged based on originality, proven need for Unilever Food Solutions assistance and the compelling nature of the entry.
