Season tilapia fillets with salt and pepper. Broil tilapia about 4 minutes or until fish flakes easily with a fork; keep warm.
Place cheese slice on bottom of each bun. Broil both halves until top is slightly browned and cheese melts, about 2 minutes.
Spread top of each bun with 2 Tbsp Tartar Sauce.
On bottom of each bun, place tilapia fillet and lettuce.
Replace top of bun. Repeat to make 8 sandwiches; serve immediately.
