Arroz Con Pollo (Chicken and Rice)

0.50tspGarlic(1) minced
0.30lbOnions, white chopped
3.00cupRice, white
3.00flozKnorr® Professional Liquid Concentrated Chicken Flavor Base 4 x 32 OZ 
2.00qtWater
0.50cupBlack olives, canned whole, pitted - OPTIONAL
1.00cupGreen peas cooked - OPTIONAL
  Black pepper, ground to taste

Preparation

disolve hot water and Liquid Chicken Base...set aside


1. Heat olive oil and brown chicken on all sides. Remove and pour off drippings except 3 Tablespoons.

2. In same pan, saute garlic and onions until onions are transparent. Add rice and saute for 2 minutes. Add prepared Base and bring to a boil.

3. To the rice mixture return the chicken and simmer until rice is done.

4. Garnish with olives or peas. This dish should be soupy.
