Lone Star Black Bean and Brisket Soup

| 1.00 | cup | Onion, yellow , chopped |
| 0.75 | cup | Carrots , chopped |
| 1.00 | tbsp | Garlic(1) , chopped |
| 1.00 | lb | Beef, brisket , diced |
| 4.00 | tbsp | Knorr Ultimate Roasted Beef Base 6 x 1 Lb |
| 1.00 | qt | Tomatoes, canned , diced, drained |
| 0.25 | cup | Barbecue sauce |
| 1.00 | gal | Water |
| Kosher salt and black pepper to taste |
Preparation
1. Soak the beans overnight in water. Drain and rinse well before proceeding.
2. In a large stock pot, saute bacon until crisp.
3. Add onions, carrots, celery, and garlic. Cook until transparent.
4. Add brisket and Knorr Gourmet Beef Base amd cook for 1 minute.
5. Add tomatoes, barbeque sauce, black beans and water. Simmer until beans are tender, approximately 2 hours.
6. Adjust seasoning with pepper.
