0.50cupBarley , rinsed
12.00ozBeef round, top (inside) , cooked, small dice
1.00cupTomatoes, canned , diced, drained
3.00qtWater
0.25cupKnorr Ultimate Roasted Beef Base 6 x 1 Lb 
0.50cupBroccoli, florets , blanched
  Kosher salt and black pepper to taste

Preparation

1. In a large pot, melt margarine and saute onions, celery, carrots, until tender. Add mushrooms and cook for 1 minute.
2. Add barley, beef, tomatoes, and water. Bring to a boil. Add Knorr Gourmet Edge Beef Base and return to a boil. Simmer for 40 minutes.
3. Add broccoli florets.
4. Add seasoning to taste, and hold for service.
