Beef, Mushroom and Toasted Barley Soup

8.00ozMushrooms, domestic ,sliced
2.00tbspThyme minced
2.00lbBeef for stewing , trimmed, cooked, small dice
1.00cupTomatoes, canned ,petit cut
6.00ozBarley ,toasted and partially cooked
2.00qtKnorr Select Beef base, prepared 
1.00qtKnorr Ultimate Vegetable vegetarian Base, prepared 
  salt and pepper , as needed

Preparation

1. In a large soup kettle, sauté onions, celery, carrot , thyme and mushrooms until soft and fragrant.

3. Add beef, tomatoes, toasted barley, prepared Beef Base and Knorr Vegetarian Base and simmer around 20 minutes.

4. Ajust seasoning and consistency if desired.

5. Serve hot.
