Heartland Hash-Brown Soup

1.00cupOnions, white cut into fine strips
0.50cupCarrots cut into fine strips
0.50cupCelery cut into fine strips
2.00cupKnorr Ultimate Ham Base 6 x 1 Lb ,prepared 
1.00qtLEGOUT ® Cream Soup Base 6 x 28 OZ 
1.00lbHash browns frozen -- thawed
0.50tbspThyme fresh, chopped
  Kosher salt and cracked pepper to season

Preparation

1) In a saucepan, render the bacon until crisp. Remove bacon from pan[reserve for garnish]. Add the ham and frizzle until caramelized. Add onions and cook until done, add carrots and celery and sauté until tender. Add the prepared ham base.

2. Fold the ham/vegetable mixture with the cream soup base, add the hash browns and thyme. Simmer for 30 minutes to marry flavors and cook the hash browns. Taste and adjust seasoning.

Garnish with crisp crumbled bacon.
