Crunchy Apple and Tuna Salad Sandwich
Serves: 1
Ingredients:
- 1 each submarine roll, split
- ½ oz. (1 leaf) green leaf lettuce
- 1 oz. (2 slices) Roma tomato, thinly sliced
- ½ oz. (2 rings) red onion, thinly sliced
- 3 oz. Apple Tuna Salad
Method:- Layer bottom of roll with lettuce, tomato, onion and Apple Tuna Salad.
- Replace top of roll; serve immediately or refrigerate until service.
Apple Tuna Salad
Yield: 1½ lbs.
Ingredients:
- 16 oz. chunk albacore tuna, drained
- 4 oz. Hellmann’s Light® Mayonnaise
- 4 oz. celery, diced
- 4 oz. unpeeled Granny Smith apple, finely diced
- 2 each green onions, sliced
- ½ oz. basil, chiffonade
- to taste salt and pepper
Method:
- In medium bowl, combine all ingredients. Keep refrigerated until service.
