
Learn about the importance of healthy eating to your guests. Unilever Food Solutions has issued “What’s in your Food?”, the first of an ongoing series of World Menu Reports. The survey was conducted in seven countries – the United States, United Kingdom, China, Germany, Russia, Brazil and Turkey – among 3,500 who report eating out at least once a week.
70% of U.S. respondents want to know more about their meal when dining out, specifically when it comes to:
83% said that food labels calling out low fat, low salt and calorie content would be a welcome addition to the menu
64% also agreed that knowing the nutritional content of their meal would help them choose healthier options when dining out
58% feel that the responsibility of providing adequate transparency regarding the content of their meals belongs to restaurant and cafeteria operators
