Since its launch in 1995, Whiskey Creek® Wood Fire Grill has taken great pride in quality and innovative cooking to create distinctive food for their guests. Not only is each dish exceptional in the way it’s prepared, but this restaurant chain also carries and uses their own proprietary seasonings, rubs, and sauces that give each dish a unique and award winning flavor.
Unilever Food Solutions recognized an opportunity to compliment this customer’s delicious entrees with a profitable beverage solution to move guests away from just ordering water: Lipton® Zero Calorie Fresh Brewed Iced Tea. Whiskey Creek began promoting this new addition to their beverage menu with exciting summer promotion which they featured on their website, in-store, and through social media advertising. To further enhance the Whisky Creek guest experience, all stores served anyone who ordered a glass of Regular or the Zero Calorie Sweet Tea in a pint glass and followed up with a Lipton® branded carafe full of iced tea set on the table. Serving it this way provides the guest with a more quality experience, with good presentation and the ability to refill their own glasses when needed without having to wait for a server. Unilever also worked with Whiskey Creek to develop targeted ads on social media for a limited time coupon for a free Lipton Fresh Brewed Iced Tea with the purchase of any entrée to drive traffic.
Thus far Lipton® Fresh Brewed Iced Tea has been a great addition to the Whiskey Creek Beverage Menu. Their summer promotion with Lipton® tea and newly added Lipton® Zero Sweet Tea and has spurred an increase in tea sales up 20% vs. 2011.
